I'm an aerospace engineer and semi-professional photographer in New Mexico, USA. I started making photographs in 2005 after my aunt gave me an old 35mm SLR and showed me how to use it. I have been shooting ever since. I photograph what I see. Sometimes I see small details, sometimes I see bigger context. Sometimes I see what's there, sometimes I see what could be. Whatever it is, I work the subject until the photograph represents what I saw. It's thrilling to communicate and experience beauty in this way.
In addition to engineering and photography, my interests include writing software, personal finance, and design. In all my pursuits I have frequently been helped by reviews, articles, and tutorials from personal websites and blogs. I hope that this site will offer content that is similarly useful and occasionally even inspiring.
I am a Christian and believe that God endowed humans with a semblance of his creativity and passion for making beauty. In some sense then this website is a celebration of this aspect of human nature and the creative works of God and man which are the subjects of my photographs.
